My Services

My programmes incorporate all 3 of the following styles of training, but I also offer specific programmes focusing on one of the following depending on the client’s needs & wants. Apart from the training, I also offer holistic health coaching that I usually do in conjunction with the training, but I also offer that separately.

Functional Training

Functional movements are movements based on real-world situational biomechanics. Functional training mimics the way the body was designed to move. This consists of multi-joint, multi-planar, compound resistance exercises to build strength for life. It is based on the seven functional movements that the human body was designed to perform: squat, lunge, hinge, push, pull, twist, and walk. This is an effective and efficient way to train.

Mobility is a movement-based integrated full-body approach that addresses all the elements that limit movement and performance. This includes short and tight muscles, soft tissue restriction, joint capsule restriction, motor control problems, joint range of motion dysfunction, and neural dynamic issues. Mobility is the sum of a person’s motor abilities or their total quality of movement. Mobility incorporates flexibility and strength, helping to prevent injuries and get stronger. A person with great mobility is ultimately able to perform exercises or day-to-day movements with no restrictions.

Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength, and muscle balance. Pilates is an effective mind-body programme conceived and designed to restore optimal alignment and movement patterns, helping you to relieve stress, improve mood, and improving body awareness. Pilates focuses on the correct functioning of the core postural muscles, which help keep the spine correctly aligned as well as working on the strength, mobility, and flexibility of the whole body. Pilates enables you to live your best life in the best physical condition and with a deep sense of wellbeing.

Holistic Health Coaching

I use an integrative approach to lifestyle, diet, and fitness changes to help clients achieve their health goals. Most importantly, I look beyond diet and exercise alone to evaluate and create an overarching plan for changing negative habits based on a client’s psychological, spiritual, social, and physical well-being. I educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavioural adjustment. The holistic approach honors the reality that the body is a complex and interconnected system of many parts that can benefit from comprehensive, sustainable, long-term solutions.
