Functional Movement & Mobility
Functional movements are based on real-world situational biomechanics. Functional training mimics the way the body was designed to move: squat, lunge, hinge, push, pull, twist, and walk. Mobility is a movement-based integrated full-body approach that addresses all the elements that limit movement and performance. Mobility incorporates flexibility and strength, helping to prevent injuries and to get stronger. A person with great mobility is ultimately able to perform exercises or day-to-day movements with no restrictions.
Pilates
Pilates emphasises proper postural alignment, core strength, and muscle balance. Pilates is an effective mind-body programme conceived and designed to restore optimal alignment and movement patterns, helping you to relieve stress, improve mood, and improve body awareness. Pilates focuses on the correct functioning of the core postural muscles, which help keep the spine correctly aligned as well as working on the strength, mobility, and flexibility of the whole body. Pilates enables you to live your best life in the best physical condition and with a deep sense of well-being.
Holistic Health Coaching
I use an integrative approach to lifestyle, diet, and fitness changes to help clients achieve their health goals. Most importantly, I look beyond diet and exercise alone to evaluate and create an overarching plan for changing negative habits based on a client’s psychological, spiritual, social, and physical well-being. I educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavioural adjustments. The holistic approach honors the reality that the body is a complex and interconnected system of many parts that can benefit from comprehensive, sustainable, long-term solutions.
